A leading independent boarding school is now looking for a Registered Nurse to join the team as a School Nurse , helping to provide excellent health care and advice to secondary-aged pupils.

This school is renowned nationally for the quality of education and opportunities offered to its pupils and is consistently rated "excellent" by the Independent Schools Inspectorate. From its beautiful grounds, pupils have access to amazing activities, facilities and resources to explore their interests and vocations within and outside academics – growing into confident and creative lifelong learners.

The team at the school’s medical centre plays a crucial role in supporting a healthy and fulfilling school life. As a School Nurse , you will:

  • provide outstanding nursing and first aid care, including for ongoing conditions and conditions requiring inpatient care at the medical centre

  • advise pupils on physical and mental health concerns, signposting as appropriate

  • provide a safe space to pupils and promote mental and emotional wellbeing

  • assist with healthcare training and initiatives throughout the school

This is a part-time , permanent School Nurse role (up to 27h per week), term-term only* .

Previous school experience would be a distinct advantage but is not essential – if you have some experience in caring for children and are approachable, kind, and passionate about children’s health and welfare, this could be the perfect role for you.
