What is involved

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30
  • Goods in – to unload deliveries using the counterbalance forklift truck when required. Ensuring that correct procedures are followed, including but not limited to, checking expiry dates, quantities, product type, and quality of goods.
  • Goods out - dispatching completed orders via pallet and parcel collection services, creating packing labels and delivery manifests.
  • Pick and pack Customer orders accurately, on time and in full according to set delivery schedules. Ensuring that correct procedures are followed.
  • Monitor and report any stock discrepancies.
  • Ensure stock counts are completed as required.
  • To deliver in a timely and professional manner product to Customers using the 3.5 tonne luton van. Ensuring, that as an employee of STERIS our high standards of Customer service are maintained.
  • Using the company finance system ORACLE to receipt goods, release sales orders and ship sales orders.
  • Admin tasks – process orders (sales & POs), manifests / labels, receipt stock, stock counts & shipping, DPD / Viking Stock replenishment using ORACLE to raise purchase orders in a timely manner to ensure agreed stock levels are maintained.
  • Comply with the Health and Safety at work Act and all onsite Health and Safety policies.
  • To ensure a safe and efficient workplace by carrying out Fork Lift Truck, vehicle and workplace inspections and observations as needed.

Required Experience

  • Competency in good Warehouse practices.
  • Counterbalance FLT license holder with experience – desirable but full training can be given.
  • Full UK driving license with no more than 3 points and experience of driving a 3.5-tonne Luton van with tail lift.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Competent and aware of good Manual Handling practices.
