Job Description
Sportradar Marketing Services is the world’s first sports marketing platform.
It helps brands and rights holders own the moments in sports by reaching fans at their emotional peak, across every channel, in real time.
The platform is built on four products
- Fan Graph: sports fan audiences from verified and deterministic fans to psychographic and contextual audiences.
- Fan Moments: live data that picks up key moments in a match as they happen and triggers campaigns from them.
- Fan Serve: dynamic creative that updates in real time with live scores, countdowns, stats and results.
- Fan
Connect: delivery across display, online video, CTV, mobile, audio, digital out-of-home, social and search, with decisioning, orchestration, reporting and attribution included.
The platform is available as a managed or self-serve service.
It delivers measurable results in attention, engagement and return on ad spend that beat standard programmatic benchmarks.
The Role
We’re looking for a Director Sales, Digital Advertising (Agency & Brand) based in London, to grow Sportradar Marketing Services revenue across Europe.
You’ll take our sports moments marketing proposition to brands and the major media holding companies at their London and European regional hubs, and to their agency networks in key markets.
You’ll focus on new revenue and on turning first campaigns into long-term, multi-market partnerships.
- The Challenge
- Win new business with holding-company agencies across Europe, working through their EMEA and regional hubs, central trading desks and local investment teams in markets such as the UK, France, the Nordics, Benelux, Iberia and Italy.
- Position Sportradar Marketing Services with agency and brand leaders as a performance and attention play.
Lead with Fan Graph audiences, moment-triggered activation and attention results.
- Map and work the holdco buying structures, from regional investment and trading to local activation, planning and client leadership.
Secure preferred-partner status, upfronts and spend commitments.
- Win regional and multi-market briefs from global and European brands across categories such as fintech, consumer goods, automotive, telecoms and retail.
Turn single-market wins into multi-market partnerships.
- Lead the preferred supplier initiative with marketing agencies and manage the onboarding workflow.
- Help brands that sponsor sport get more out of those deals by activating them in real time across digital, DOOH, audio and social.
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, proposals, negotiation and contracting, including regional framework agreements.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline in Salesforce, forecast accurately and hit quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Work with product, campaign delivery and local Sportradar teams on tailored solutions, case studies and creative concepts that win and keep business.
- Bring market insight back to product and leadership on European agency buying trends, measurement and attention standards, pricing models, privacy and regulatory factors and go-to-market positioning.
- Represent Sportradar at European and international industry events such as Cannes Lions, Advertising Week Europe, DMEXCO and agency showcases.
Regular travel across Europe is required.
About You
- At least 7 years in digital media or ad-tech sales, with a proven record of new business at media agencies in several European markets.
- An established, active network of buying decision-makers across the major holding companies at regional (EMEA/Europe) and local market level: investment, trading desk, programmatic and client leadership.
This is essential.
- A track record of closing and growing six- and seven-figure multi-market agency deals, including holdco-level or preferred-partner agreements.
- Strong knowledge of programmatic buying (DSPs, PMPs, curated marketplaces), audience data, dynamic creative, and channels such as web, CTV, DOOH, audio.
- Comfort selling on attention and performance results, including attention measurement (e. g. Lumen), engagement, click-through rate and return on ad spend.
- An understanding of how European markets differ in media buying, regulation and culture.
- A hunter mentality: you build your own pipeline and enjoy opening doors.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation and consultative selling skills, with credibility at C-suite and Managing Director level.
- Experience in sports, sponsorship, gaming or entertainment media is a strong plus.
- The right to work in the UK.
- Our Offer
- A key role in a fast-growing new business: the world’s first sports marketing platform, with real influence on how we go to market across Europe.
- A pitch no one else has, built on official sports data, live moments and fan audiences that open doors at every agency.
- Work with a global team across sports, media and technology.
- A competitive base salary plus commission, pension and benefits.
