SmartPro are currently seeking an experienced Technical Manager will oversee all aspects of food safety, quality assurance, and compliance within our client. The role requires ensuring that all products meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. They will lead a Technical team to implement and maintain quality systems, develop technical specifications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain food safety and quality management systems (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, BRC).
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Monitor and address quality issues in production, packaging, and storage.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable food safety laws and regulations, including FDA, USDA, or other relevant authorities.
- Keep updated with changes in regulations and standards.
- Manage the Technical team of quality control and assurance staff.
- Work with suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials and adherence to standards.
- Prepare and maintain technical specifications for products and processes.
- Generate detailed reports on quality performance and non-conformance issues.
- Identify areas for improvement in production processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address recurring quality concerns.
Requirements:
- Extensive industry experience in food safety, quality assurance, or a technical management role within the food industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- HACCP, ISO 22000, BRC, or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, microbiological testing, and quality assurance tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
