Carpentry runs through most of our bigger jobs. Kitchens, doors and frames, skirting and architrave, stud work, flooring and the hundred small fixings that decide whether a refurbishment looks finished.
There is repair work too. A door that has dropped, a frame that has rotted, a worktop that needs replacing.
What the work is
- First and second fix carpentry on refurbishment and kitchen jobs.
- Door, frame and ironmongery repairs and replacements in occupied homes.
- Work to the measurements on site rather than the ones on the drawing.
- Photograph and report the work as you go.
What we need from you
- A carpentry background with finished work you can show us.
- Public liability insurance, or willing to get it before your first job.
- The right to work in the UK, and registered as self-employed (CIS where the work is construction).
- Your own tools and your own transport.
- A phone you can take photos on. Every job is signed off with pictures.
Paid per job. The price is agreed with you before the work starts, and it does not change afterwards.
