The Role – HGV Technician:
At this time, Silcom Recruitment are aiding one of our specialist clients in their search for experienced HGV Technicians to join their freshly established workshop.
Your Mission –
“To repair and service commercial vehicles in accordance with manufacturer guidance and current industry standards, ensuring that you utilise the most time efficient, cost-effective and safe method of working.”
Responsibilities & Requirements of an HGV Technician:
- To ensure that all HGV’s that are on site to be repaired, are treated with respect and care
- Complete all vehicle repair and maintenance records as required at the end of a repair/service in clear detail.
- Diagnose vehicle faults as required, ensuring if relevant, latest technology is used.
- Servicing vehicles – carrying out checks and maintenance according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components.
- Advising the Service Receptionists about required repairs.
- Producing time estimates.
- Maintaining repair and service records.
- Occasional Service/Breakdown call outs
Package:
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 [dependant on experience]
+ Including Bonus & other benefits
Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm + Overtime
