Sheffield City Council is seeking a committed and innovative individual to join the Sheffield Role Review Programme (SRRP) Team as a Project Manager, focusing on providing PMO support and promoting programme-wide governance and assurance. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in a high-profile, transformational initiative that ensures equality of pay across the council and maintained schools. You will contribute to the successful delivery of the SRRP through robust project management and oversight, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives alongside a range of stakeholders including staff, managers, and Trade Unions.
About the Role
In this role, you will lead and oversee key projects within the SRRP, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will provide PMO support and drive effective governance and assurance processes across the programme. Your responsibilities will include managing dependencies, risks, and interfaces between projects while fostering collaboration with a range of stakeholders to achieve programme goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing PMO support to ensure alignment with programme objectives and strategic priorities.
- Defining programme governance arrangements and ensuring integrity across projects.
- Effectively managing risks and issues, and presenting timely updates to governance boards.
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to facilitate cooperation and shared vision.
- Ensuring compliance with Council policies and procedures, including IT governance structures.
- Contributing to innovation, embedding change and service improvement through benchmarking and best practice research.
