Job Ref: Ops ManDescriptionBMS Operations Manager – ProjectsLocation: London, with occasional travel to ColchesterSalary: 65,000 – 80,000 + car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits supporting your family, finances and wellbeing.The RoleMy client is looking for an experienced BMS Operations Manager to lead and develop the Projects Division of their business, based in London with occasional travel to their Colchester office.This is a key leadership position focused on overseeing BMS project delivery, improving operational performance and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. You will work closely with project managers, engineers and senior leadership to drive efficiency, maintain high standards and support the continued growth of the division.The successful candidate will bring a strong background in BMS projects, project management and operational leadership, with the ability to manage multiple projects, develop teams and maintain strong client relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day operations of the BMS Projects Division, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.Lead, support and develop project managers and wider project delivery teams, promoting accountability and operational excellence.Monitor project progress, financial performance, resource allocation and commercial risks across the project portfolio.Implement and maintain effective project management processes, governance and reporting procedures.Work closely with senior management to develop operational strategies, improve performance and support business growth.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.Oversee project handovers from sales and estimating through to delivery and completion, ensuring a smooth transition at every stage.Identify opportunities to improve productivity, profitability and project delivery processes.Support recruitment, workforce planning and the development of the Projects Division as the business continues to grow.Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, contractual compliance and quality assurance across all projects.Key Skills and ExperienceProven experience in BMS project management or operations, ideally within a senior leadership position.Strong understanding of BMS project delivery, including installation, commissioning, integration and handover.Experience overseeing multiple projects, managing budgets and monitoring commercial performance.Previous responsibility for managing and developing project managers, engineers or multidisciplinary delivery teams.Strong knowledge of project governance, planning, resource management and risk mitigation.Commercially aware, with the ability to improve project profitability and operational efficiency.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience dealing with clients and senior management.A proactive approach to problem-solving, process improvement and team development.The OpportunityThis is an excellent opportunity for an established BMS Projects Manager or Operations Manager to take ownership of a growing Projects Division, influence operational strategy and play a key role in the continued development of the business.The role is London-based, with occasional travel to Colchester, and offers a competitive salary, car allowance, performance-related bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.SER-IN
