We are revolutionising clean growth and the circular economy within the mining & refining sectors by selectively recovering high‑value metals from in‑process or effluent water streams.

We are a fast‑paced company at an exciting stage of development, scaling our operations across two sites — an R&D laboratory and back office function in Oxford, and a pilot processing plant in the North East of England.
As we grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic Analytical / Lab Support Chemist to be a key player in our innovative journey at The Wilton Centre, Redcar, Teesside.
In this hands‑on role, you’ll support a wide range of laboratory activities, from routine analyses to assisting with the development of advanced selective extraction methods.
Your contributions will directly impact the advancement of our Selectal™ technology and help us maintain our position at the forefront of Aqua Mining.

This role is for you if you have
- A degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
- Demonstrable and practical experience (ideally 5 years+) in laboratory techniques such as solution preparation, pipetting, titration, and basic instrumentation handling.
- Familiarity with analytical instrumentation and data analysis, including methods such as ICP, UV‑Vis spectroscopy, or chromatography is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of laboratory safety and cleanliness.
- Excellent organisational, problem‑solving and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work well independently and within a small and multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced, innovative start‑up environment.

Ideally you will also have
- Experience in supporting research and development projects in a laboratory setting.
- An understanding of metal extraction technologies.
- Previous experience working in an SME or start‑up, showcasing flexibility and initiative.
- A knowledge of COSHH regulations, safety regulations and risk assessments.
- Ability to execute tasks with minimal supervision.
