About the role

Deritend, part of the Rubix Group, was founded in 1898 and serves more than 3,500 customers in the UK and boasts a blue-chip client base that includes some of the largest manufacturers and best known brands in the world. We specialise in optimising asset performance, including motors, gear boxes, pumps, machining induction, condition monitoring and fabrication services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Disassembly and accurate re-assembly of industrial rotating equipment.
  • Performing planned and predictive maintenance.
  • Undertaking effective planning and prioritisation of workload wherever necessary.
  • Maintaining the required standards of housekeeping.
  • Conforming to health and safety procedures and policies.
  • Participating in call out rota as required.

You will be used to working on site in addition to the workshop when required (Site working experience is a distinct advantage and suitable qualifications such as CCNSG passport is preferable). You should have strong mechanical engineering knowledge to identify and rectify faulty and worn/damaged components and understand reclamation techniques and reverse engineering options. You must understand and operate in line with relevant legislation, Company policy and Company procedures. You will be flexible and be prepared to work the hours required in a demanding and busy 24/7 service orientated environment.
