About the role

Location: Guildford (GU1)

Pay: £14.25 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay)

Contract: 8 Weeks

Shifts: Rotating day shifts (7:15am-4:15pm & 12:15pm-8:15pm) plus weekend shifts (8:00am-8:00pm)

We are looking for an experienced Complex Needs Housing Case Worker to join a 47-bed homelessness hostel supporting individuals with complex needs to rebuild their lives and move into independent accommodation. This is not a care role. You'll provide person-centred casework, helping residents overcome barriers, develop independent living skills, and access the support they need to achieve positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload and delivering tailored support plans
  • Supporting residents with substance misuse, mental health needs, and complex behaviours
  • Working closely with external agencies, including mental health, substance misuse, and social care services
  • Completing risk assessments, safeguarding, and case records
  • Supporting residents with housing, benefits, budgeting, and move-on plans

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience working in homelessness, supported housing, or a similar environment
  • Knowledge of complex needs, mental health, and substance misuse
  • Experience creating and managing support plans
  • Strong safeguarding, risk management, and multi-agency working skills
  • The confidence to work independently in a fast-paced environment
