Outstanding opportunity is available to appoint a Ground Support Engineer / Automotive Technician at Stansted Airport (STN). This vastly stable, global organisation seeks a skilled Technician to join their friendly and dedicated team working on a variety of Automotive and Ground Service / Support Equipment.

You will conduct planned, preventative maintenance, as well as service and any repairs on a plethora of equipment, giving you real variety in an incredibly exciting environment. Candidates sought will ideally be time served Automotive Technicians / Mechanics / Plant Engineers with a minimum of one year post apprenticeship experience.

You will be qualified with City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent automotive qualifications with knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical systems. Offering all PPE and uniforms, your overalls will be supplied and laundered for you, but you must have your own tools.

Ex-Military candidates are highly desirable, particularly those from the REME (Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers) or Royal Engineers or similar. Candidates highly sought after are those with experience as either an Automotive Mechanic, Automotive Engineer, Light or Commercial Automotive Engineer, PSV Technician / HGV Engineer / HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / PSV Engineer / PSV Mechanic / Plant Mechanic, construction plant Engineer / Mechanic or other level automotive maintenance and repair experience.

Full training on the service and maintenance of ground support equipment is available with an immediate start working a daytime 4 days on 3 days off shift.
