We’re working with a busy manufacturing business in Dundee, who are looking to add a Design Engineer to their engineering department.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a mechanical design background who enjoys getting into the detail, solving problems and seeing their designs come to life in a manufacturing environment.
What will you be doing?
- Creating, reviewing and approving technical drawings and specifications.
- Developing design tools and supporting engineering projects.
- Using CAD software to produce 2D drawings and 3D models.
- Applying engineering principles and manufacturing knowledge to design solutions.
- Supporting continuous improvement and sharing your knowledge with junior engineers.
What are we looking for?
- A qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline (degree, HNC, HND or ONC with relevant experience).
- Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and ANSYS.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 design standards and quality systems.
- An understanding of engineering design principles, manufacturing processes and regulated environments.
