This is an excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor to join a growing multi-disciplinary consultancy, working on a major long-term social housing framework with a significant pipeline of work for the next five years and beyond.

Are you a Building Surveyor with experience in building inspections, condition surveys and refurbishment projects, alongside some Contract Administration or Project Management experience? This established consultancy has been delivering professional construction services to housing associations and local authorities across the UK for over 40 years. Due to continued growth and the award of a major local authority framework, they are looking to strengthen their Building Surveying team in the area.

In this role, you will undertake a range of Building Surveying duties, including property inspections, condition surveys, defect diagnosis and preparing specifications for refurbishment and maintenance works. You will also support the Contract Administration and Project Management of construction projects, working closely with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure successful delivery.

The role offers significant autonomy, flexible home working and excellent opportunities for professional development, including funded training and chartership support. This would suit a technically confident Building Surveyor looking to broaden their experience and take on greater project responsibility.

The Role:

  • Undertake building surveys, property inspections, condition assessments and defect diagnosis

  • Prepare technical reports, schedules of work and specifications for maintenance and refurbishment projects

  • Carry out Contract Administration and Project Management duties, overseeing works from inception through to completion

  • Work across social housing, refurbishment, retrofit and new-build projects, liaising with clients and contractors

The Person:

  • Building Surveying experience, ideally within residential, social housing or consultancy environments

  • Experience in building inspections, defect diagnosis, technical reporting and preparing specifications

  • Some Contract Administration or Project Management experience, with a desire to develop further

  • Full UK Driving Licence and looking for long-term career progression
