About the role

A warm, high-achieving community primary school in Hampstead, Camden is looking for an experienced Nursery Nurse to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of its Nursery provision, working alongside a Class Teacher and Teaching Assistant.

This Nursery Nurse opportunity is in a Good, values-led primary school with a calm, caring and inclusive atmosphere.

  • Full-time, term time only contract from September 2026
  • £95-100 per day PAYE, with long-term stability in a highly regarded NW3 primary setting
  • Work within a small, well-supported Early Years team where staff are valued and involved in school development

As Nursery Nurse, you will lead the daily routines, learning environment, care standards and practical organisation of the Nursery. This post requires strong EYFS knowledge, excellent communication and confidence supporting children's early development.

The successful Nursery Nurse must have substantial nursery experience and a minimum Level 4 Childcare qualification. Applicants should be confident managing provision, liaising with parents and supporting behaviour, safeguarding and personal care routines.

School data includes 7% of pupils receiving SEN support, with SEND/EHCP needs supported through inclusive mainstream provision. Pupils achieve strongly, with recent data showing 81% reaching the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths.

This role would suit a mature, organised and proactive practitioner who can run the day-to-day Nursery offer with consistency and care. Based in Hampstead, Camden, the school is easily accessible and sits within a close-knit, academically ambitious local community.
