About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team.

This permanent, full-time role is essential for ensuring the financial and contractual success of our projects.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in quantity surveying, demonstrating a strong ability to manage costs, contracts, and project budgets effectively, thereby contributing to the overall success of our operations in the UK market.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost estimation and financial forecasting.
  • Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities for various construction projects.
  • Manage contracts and negotiate terms with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Advise on procurement strategies and assist in the selection of contractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to optimise project delivery.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior quantity surveyors and trainees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying within the building and construction industry.
  • Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
