This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially-minded Brand Manager who wants real ownership, visibility and influence within a fast-paced FMCG environment. At Refresco, you'll be responsible for shaping the long-term strategy of a portfolio of recognised brands, driving growth, innovation and profitability across multiple channels. As this is a 6-month fixed-term contract, we cannot guarantee what opportunities may be available at the end of the assignment. However, Refresco is a large, growing organisation and you'll have visibility of and the ability to apply for internal vacancies as they arise, providing an excellent opportunity to build your network and explore longer-term career prospects within the business.
About the Role
The Commercial Brand Manager reports to the Head of Marketing and is responsible for developing and delivering the strategic long-term plans for the designated brand portfolio for Refresco UK across all trade channels, working towards delivering the agreed annual sales volume and profit budgets for the designated brands. Using insight and market knowledge, you will identify and develop new product and distribution opportunities for your brands, reaching new consumers and extending brand reach.
Here are your key tasks and responsibilities as Commercial Brand Manager at Refresco:
- Review and evolve annual brand plans for each brand to take to market, identifying channel growth strategies for each brand.
- Oversee brand performance — including NPD, value engineering, trade marketing and promotional activity.
- Set and manage annual budgets covering customer promotional activity and trade marketing spend to maximise sales and profitability.
- Build and manage strong relationships with brand owners and sales teams, ensuring alignment on performance and brand plans.
- Identify and drive NPD opportunities to grow branded sales and expand into new categories.
- Collaborate with the wider commercial team to spot opportunities, mitigate risks, and deliver above-market performance.
- Collaborate with appointed marketing and social media agencies to plan, develop, and execute annual social and digital campaigns that drive engagement, brand awareness, and business growth across a diverse portfolio of platforms.
- Ensure all activity aligns with strategic objectives, leverages best practices for each channel, and delivers measurable results.
About You
You’ll be an experienced FMCG professional with a proven track record in marketing and commercial roles, ideally with exposure to both brand and private label. You are highly creative, well organised, with good analytical skills, turning opportunities and insights into clear actions. A desire to have confidence presenting to customers, internal teams and senior stakeholders as well as being a natural influencer and communicator, you excel at building alignment, managing priorities and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
