Key responsibilities of the role:
- Lead the successful introduction of new products, packaging, processes, and customer launches into manufacturing, ensuring projects meet quality, food safety, legal, and customer requirements.
- Act as the key link between Operations, NPD, customers, and suppliers to deliver launches efficiently and achieve agreed technical and operational objectives.
- Coordinate and oversee product trials, process validations, and packaging evaluations, ensuring clear success criteria and engagement from operational teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including value engineering projects, process optimisation, and the implementation of packaging and process changes.
- Conduct risk assessments and support HACCP reviews for new products, equipment, packaging, and manufacturing processes, ensuring robust controls and compliance are in place.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure new and existing products can be produced efficiently, meeting customer expectations for quality, service, and performance.
The ideal candidate would have:
Experience within a Technical, Quality, NPD, or Manufacturing role in the food and beverage industry, along with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, HACCP, and continuous improvement. They will be an organised and proactive individual, capable of managing multiple projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and building strong stakeholder relationships. With a passion for food and drink, they will bring a solutions-focused approach and the confidence to drive positive change within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
