A unique opportunity for a QA Automation Engineer to join a well-funded early-stage technology company. Initially working remotely, with plans for a hybrid London office, you will help establish modern automated testing practices across a cutting-edge software platform. Working closely with software engineers, you will develop automated testing solutions that improve software quality, support rapid releases and help deliver a brilliant user experience.

Due to the nature of some client projects, you must be willing and eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance. You can join the team and work on other commercial projects while your clearance application is progressing.
Location: London office, hybrid, minimum 2 days a week, (4 days a week for Graduate hires to assist with training and development)
Salary: £30,000 - £55,000 basic salary (lower end for a Graduate, more for experienced)
Requirements for QA Automation Engineer – Graduate Considered:
- Experience developing automated test solutions for web-based software applications
- Knowledge of API testing and validating software integrations
- Understanding of automated testing practices, including regression testing, smoke testing and integrating tests within CI/CD pipelines
- Strong attention to detail, with a passion for delivering high-quality, reliable software
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced start-up environment where you can take ownership, influence direction and make a genuine impact on the company's success
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to work closely with software engineers, product teams and senior stakeholders
- You must be eligible to obtain UK SC Security Clearance due to the nature of some projects (this usually means you have been a UK resident for the past 5 years, have a clean criminal record, etc.) Existing SC Clearance would be a benefit
- Exposure to any of the following would be beneficial: React, Next.js, Python, Docker and PostgreSQL
For Graduate applicants:
- A strong academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or another closely related STEM discipline
- Exposure to software testing or test automation through university projects, internships or personal projects
- A good understanding of software development principles, with a genuine interest in software quality and automated testing
Responsibilities for QA Automation Engineer – Graduate Considered:
- Develop and maintain an automation-first testing approach across the software platform
- Create and enhance automated test suites covering key software features, APIs and end-to-end user journeys
- Work closely with software engineers to improve software quality, test coverage and acceptance criteria throughout development
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and efficient software releases
- Carry out testing across complex data flows and user scenarios, ensuring software performs reliably in a wide range of situations
- Identify, communicate and help resolve software quality issues, working collaboratively with the wider engineering team
