About the role

Contract Opportunity | Information Security Officer | Hybrid | Newcastle

RED is currently supporting one of our key manufacturing clients in their search for an experienced Information Security Officer to join their team on an initial contract until the end of the year, with a strong possibility of extension.

Location: Newcastle (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)

Start: Within the next 4 weeks

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and enhance the organisation's information security posture
  • Support and maintain ISO 27001 compliance
  • Lead security governance and compliance initiatives
  • Conduct security assessments and identify areas for improvement
  • Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to implement security best practices

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an Information Security Officer or in a similar information security role
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 27001
  • Good technical understanding of information security principles
  • Experience with security governance, risk, and compliance processes
  • Ability to identify security gaps and implement practical improvements
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
