AC HOTEL BY MARRIOTT GLASGOW – RESERVATIONS MANAGER (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)

The AC Hotel Glasgow combines heritage architecture, contemporary design and discerning service to create a seamless experience allowing our guests to focus, be present and connect. Our new hotel is located next to iconic George Square, offering 245 design-led bedrooms that blend form and function for a modern hospitality experience.

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

As Reservations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the hotel\’s reservations process to drive accuracy, revenue, and customer satisfaction. You\’ll collaborate closely with the Revenue and Sales teams, ensuring that our strategy aligns with demand and market trends. You\’ll also oversee the daily operations of the reservations team, developing them to deliver excellent service and commercial results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all business on the books is accurate and reflective of company procedures.

  • Operate and maintain all reservation systems (such as Opera) to brand and company standards.

  • Implement and monitor pricing and selling strategies across all market segments, in partnership with Revenue and Sales Managers.

  • Conduct regular competitor analysis and stay informed of market trends and rate positioning.

  • Drive a high-performing reservations culture, developing and mentoring the team to meet key performance targets.

  • Balance commercial focus with guest satisfaction, maximising total revenue while ensuring customer expectations are exceeded.

  • Ensure full compliance with statutory and company policies related to financial controls, employment, and health & safety.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a similar Reservations or Revenue role within the hotel or hospitality industry.

  • Experience with Opera and other reservations/revenue platforms.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a flair for customer service.

  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of revenue and pricing strategies.

  • Confident in data analysis and using competitor/market insights to influence decisions.

  • Detail-oriented, highly organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.

  • Inspirational leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a small team.
