Working closely with the commercial and technical teams, you will champion site safety, drive the build programme, control quality, and ensure the project is delivered on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Delivery: Lead all day-to-day site operations from enabling works and site setup through to CML, NHBC/warranty sign-off, and client handover.
  • Subcontractor & Labour Management: Direct, coordinate, and hold accountable all trade contractors and directly employed site staff to maintain quality and momentum.
  • Programme & Logistics: Maintain and update short-term look-ahead programmes, coordinate deliveries, manage tight logistics, and eliminate programme delays.
  • Health, Safety & Environment: Serve as the designated Principal Contractor lead on-site, ensuring zero compromise on H&S regulations, CDM standards, and RAMS compliance.
  • Quality & Commercial Control: Conduct rigorous QA inspections at every key build stage, minimise defects, and liaise closely with the Quantity Surveyor to manage variations and waste.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Proven End-to-End Track Record: Demonstrable experience leading residential schemes from initial ground-breaking through to practical completion and occupation as the No. 1 on site.
  • D&B Background: Strong working knowledge of Design & Build (D&B) residential contracts, detailing, and technical coordination.
  • Contractor/Developer Heritage: Background working with a reputable Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor or established regional housebuilder.
  • Technical Eye: Exceptional eye for detail and high standards of finish, alongside a solid grasp of NHBC / Premier Guarantee standards and current building regulations (including Part L and Future Homes standards).
