About the role

Location: Cardiff, Newport & Swansea (South Wales)

Salary: Up to £55,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience) + Car Allowance

We're looking for an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join our growing team, covering Cardiff, Newport, Swansea and the surrounding South Wales area. If you're qualified to a minimum Level 3 in Fire Risk Assessment and are passionate about delivering high-quality fire safety services, we'd like to hear from you.

The Role

This position offers an excellent balance between fieldwork and office-based responsibilities, with approximately:

  • 50% site visits carrying out fire risk assessments.
  • 50% report writing from home or the office, ensuring reports are clear, accurate and compliant.

You'll be responsible for undertaking fire risk assessments across a varied portfolio of commercial, residential and public sector properties while providing practical, proportionate fire safety advice to clients.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Minimum Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment qualification.
  • Experience carrying out fire risk assessments independently.
  • Strong report writing and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of current fire safety legislation and guidance.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Level 4 Fire Risk Assessment qualification.
  • Advanced Tier registration (or equivalent professional recognition).
  • Membership of a recognised professional body.
