About you You have a strong vehicle technical/electrical/mechanical awareness, able to interpret back-of-house jargon into front-of-house lingo – and vice versa. You can capably juggle an ever-changing and demanding workload. You’re adaptable, you’re not easily flustered and you thrive in a busy environment. You are excellent at project management, have meticulous planning, and are consistently results-driven. You have at least two years’ experience in a similar role, possibly within a main dealer or prestige independent. Senior service advisors or parts advisors wishing to advance their career could also be ideal candidates. About the role You will be responsible for supporting our two Service Advisers, by maintaining the productivity and performance of our back-of-house team of seven talented technicians. You will also be the unbreakable link between front and back-of-house, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all workshop jobs in the best interests of our business and our clients. You will work closely with our the Assistant Workshop Controller, Service Manager and our Head Technician to identify the most effective way of completing the required daily tasks; taking into account the varied skills of the workforce, the priorities of the business and the cost implication. Your Main Duties include: Leading the workshop team in day-to-day tasks, taking a pro-active approach to business growth. Ensuring the workshop is operating efficiently and profitably through the effective use of labour resources, materials and equipment. Making sure servicing and repairs (our products) are carried out to the highest quality standards, delivering an unparalleled service experience that guarantees our customers keep returning by sing our praises to their friends, colleaques an family. Regularly stepping in and running the Centre independently: you’re the Service Manager’s second in command. This role comes with: £35,000 basic salary with an uncapped bonus scheme with a realistic, proven and highly achievable OTE of £41,500 per annum Working hours Monday-Friday 8:00am-5.30pm (we’ve broken with convention and do not open Saturdays!) 33 days holiday per annum [including 8 national Bank Holidays] Pension scheme
