We are currently recruiting for a Despatch Release Inspector to join our clients busy and fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a key role responsible for ensuring all products meet the required standards and specifications before release to customers.
Benefits:
- Starting rate: £13.51 per hour - rate per hour will increase once fully trained
- Location: Sheffield S9
- Work Days/Hours: Monday to Wednesday: 6:00am - 4:00pm/Thursday: 6:00am - 3:30pm with Fridays off
- 37.5 hours per week
- Contract: permanent
The Role
As a Despatch Release Inspector, you will play a critical role in quality assurance and compliance. You will ensure that all products are checked thoroughly and released only when they meet strict customer, documentation, and export requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Following customer work instructions and documentation requirements accurately
- Verifying that all parts meet required standards before release
- Ensuring full traceability of products and documentation
- Maintaining export and shipping records
- Using internal systems to process and release work
- Identifying and segregating non-conforming items or those requiring further action
- Liaising with internal teams and shipping agents where required
About You/Criteria:
This role requires a logical, methodical, and detail-oriented individual. It's important that you are comfortable working in a structured environment where accuracy and consistency are essential. We are looking for someone who:
- Has a thorough and organised approach to work

- Can work independently with minimal supervision

- Ideally has experience in a manufacturing or despatch environment
- Previous experience in quality inspection preferred
- Knowledge of export documentation or shipping processes
- Experience working with traceability systems and route cards
- Familiarity with ERP or despatch management systems
- High level of attention to detail

- Calm and composed under pressure
