About the Role

AI is revolutionising how matters are resolved; Wexler is at the forefront of this transformation. We're seeking a Legal Engineer with deep litigation expertise to join our London team and drive explosive growth by demonstrating how elite law firms can leverage our Fact Intelligence platform to uncover case-winning evidence and dominate in complex disputes. This is a career-defining opportunity for a qualified litigator who wants to shape the future of legal technology.

You'll become the ultimate litigation AI evangelist, working directly with top-tier firms to prove how our platform transforms millions of documents into strategic weapons. Beyond traditional business development, you'll be part strategist, part consultant, and part AI pioneer; helping litigation teams reimagine how they approach their most challenging cases.

As a Legal Engineer, you'll be reporting into the Head of Commercial Strategy and working closely with him on the entire commercial strategy for the litigation market, building relationships with the most prestigious law firms while directly influencing our product roadmap. You'll work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI and high-stakes litigation, with the autonomy to define how we capture and expand this massive market opportunity.

What You'll Do

  • Become the trusted litigation AI strategist for our clients, leveraging your legal background to guide how elite law firms and Fortune 500 legal teams maximise their factual analysis and case strategy capabilities through AI.
  • Drive strategic litigation AI adoption across your client portfolio, working with litigation partners to identify high-impact matters where Wexler can uncover case-winning facts and dramatically reduce document review time.
  • Lead sophisticated legal demonstrations that showcase how our AI handles complex litigation workflows; from initial case assessment to advanced fact extraction across millions of documents in real dispute scenarios.
  • Consult on litigation strategy implementation, working alongside legal teams to understand their case theories, document challenges, and discovery strategies, then mapping these to Wexler's AI capabilities.
  • Build deep relationships with litigation leaders across both law firm partnerships and corporate legal departments, understanding their dispute resolution priorities, budget cycles, and competitive pressures.
  • Recognise commercial expansion opportunities within accounts by recognising new matters, practice groups, and jurisdictions where Wexler can drive results, then building business cases for usage-based growth.
  • Partner with Customer Success to ensure seamless handoffs from initial demonstration to full implementation, maintaining legal credibility throughout the customer journey.
  • Shape our go-to-market strategy by analysing litigation market trends, competitor positioning, and emerging use cases where AI can create competitive advantages.
  • Act as Voice of the legal customer, providing insights into litigation-specific needs and user feedback to inform product development and ensure our platform meets the exacting standards of elite litigators.
  • Pioneer thought leadership in litigation AI through content creation, speaking engagements, and industry relationship building that positions Wexler as the definitive platform for litigation professionals.

What You Bring

You understand that litigation AI isn't just another legal tech tool, but a fundamental shift in how legal professionals approach their most complex, high-stakes disputes. You thrive on working with brilliant, demanding litigators who expect excellence and have zero tolerance for technology that doesn't deliver results. You're equally comfortable discussing case strategy with KCs as you are explaining AI model performance to litigation teams.

We're looking for:

  • Qualified lawyer in England & Wales with 1-4 years of litigation experience at a top-tier law firm or specialised litigation boutique. Commercial litigation, international arbitration, or complex dispute resolution experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of litigation workflows including document review, fact discovery, case strategy development, and the commercial pressures facing modern litigation practices.
  • Proven commercial acumen with experience in client development, business development, or strategic consulting. You understand legal procurement processes and can build compelling business cases.
  • Technical curiosity and learning agility - you can quickly grasp how AI models work, what makes document processing effective, and how to troubleshoot complex legal technology implementations.
  • Executive presence and communication skills - you can hold your own in partner meetings while also being hands-on with associate teams reviewing millions of documents.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to identify high-impact use cases, understand competitive dynamics, and translate complex legal requirements into product development insights.
  • Client-facing experience in professional services, with a track record of building trusted advisor relationships with senior legal stakeholders.
  • Startup mentality - you're excited by ambiguity, rapid iteration, and the opportunity to build something from the ground up in a category-defining market.
  • AI enthusiasm - you're genuinely excited about the potential of AI to transform litigation and legal services more broadly.
  • London-based and office-focused - we work from WeWork Aldwych 4 days per week, and face-to-face collaboration is core to our culture and success.

You'll be part of a fast-scaling, entrepreneurial environment where your legal insights directly shape how we build and position the leading litigation AI platform.

You'll collaborate with our founding team and work at the intersection of law and technology, helping shape how we support legal professionals tackling their most complex disputes. We offer a competitive salary, significant equity in a rapidly growing company, huge autonomy and ownership, budget for learning and professional growth, and bi-annual team retreats.
