Social Worker, £36ph, Learning Disabilities, Swindon Pertemps are recruiting for experienced Social Workers to join a dedicated Learning Disabilities Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic environment focused on improving the lives of adults with learning disabilities and their families. Positions Available: 2x roles : Case holding only 1x role : Duty management (supported by a Duty Manager and wider team, as required) Key responsibilities: Provide statutory support to adults with care and support needs, ensuring high-quality and person-centred interventions. Undertake assessments, support planning, and safeguarding in compliance with legal frameworks and organizational policies. Conduct Mental Capacity Assessments (MCA) and make Best Interest decisions in line with the Mental Capacity Act (2005). Manage Section 42 safeguarding inquiries, including multi-agency collaboration and adult protection plans. Work collaboratively with health professionals, service providers, and voluntary organizations to coordinate and deliver care. Maintain accurate and timely records on electronic social care databases. Supervise and guide colleagues, supporting professional development and ensuring high standards of practice. Participate in reviews of care plans to ensure outcomes are met and independence is promoted.
