We're looking for a Filmmaking Trainee to join our GCN video team. Whether you've just finished your A-Levels or you're a self-taught creator making your own content on YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram - we'd love to hear from you.
This Traineeship is a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced filmmakers, develop your production skills, and help bring to life the kind of content that keeps cyclists hitting 'play' again and again.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting with filming and editing video content for our GCN channels.
- Joining the crew on shoots - in the studio, on location, and sometimes even out on the road.
- Learning how to capture footage that tells engaging stories about road cycling.
- Supporting with camera setup, lighting, audio, and equipment maintenance.
- Helping with edits, thumbnails, and short-form social content for YouTube and social media.
- Bringing your own creative ideas to brainstorms and content development sessions.
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for cycling and video creation - you don't need to be a pro, just enthusiastic!
- Basic knowledge of video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
- Some experience filming - maybe through school projects, personal content, or your own YouTube channel.
- A willingness to learn, try new things, and get hands-on in every part of production.
- A collaborative, can-do attitude and strong communication skills.
- A confident road cyclist who's happy to film outdoors and work in dynamic environments.
