Our client’s UK & Ireland Tender & Bid team manages the full tender and bid lifecycle across all business units, delivering high-quality submissions that drive profitable sales and outcome-based solutions for customers and patients. They are seeking a Team Leader to coordinate complex tender submissions while leading a small, high-performing team of three associates. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Specialist or first-time manager who thrives in a collaborative, process-driven environment and wants to stay hands-on in the delivery of tenders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and develop a team of Tender & Bid Specialists and Administrators, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee end-to-end tender and bid processes, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal SOP requirements.
  • Champion ESG, Sustainability, and Social Value within tender submissions, aligning with market and regulatory expectations.
  • Monitor performance metrics and generate reporting to inform strategic decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes and address performance gaps.
  • Coordinate tender and bid submissions, aligning internal contributors and external partners for timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Consolidate commercial, financial, and technical inputs to ensure accuracy and consistency in bids.
  • Drive sales reporting related to tender activities and support ad-hoc tender/contract tasks as needed.

About You

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent, ideally in business, science, or economics.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in tender/bid management or related commercial roles.
  • Leadership experience, either current people management or first leadership responsibility, is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare tender processes, with NHS procurement experience advantageous.
  • Skilled in drafting and coordinating complex tenders and bids, with a strong focus on process optimisation.
  • Confident in engaging and managing a wide range of stakeholders across multiple teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office; SharePoint and Power BI are a plus.
