Working Hours: Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm, alternate weeks

What will this role achieve? Wrapping Machine Minders are accountable for product and process delivery. They will work closely with the ATM/ Supervisor regarding any issues that they come across to achieve the production plan that ensures customer supply. You will be carrying out tasks that require a hands-on approach and operating machinery. The role will require flexibility and good communication skills. All training will be given.
The role requires a proactive individual with a ‘can do’ attitude who is committed to maintaining high standards in production whilst working as part of a dynamic team. Will be required to move lines across the factory as and when required.
What will be your key deliverables?
- Carry out all pre-start checks
- Ensure product is made to the correct quality and specification for start of shift and throughout
- Understand equipment and machinery set up
- Ensure changeovers are completed to procedure
- Ensure any re-work procedures are followed
- Ensure product is to correct quality and specification, make adjustments to machinery settings to maintain product consistency
- Ensure all documentation is filled in correctly and to the right standard
- Always maintain everyday factory standards safely
- Shift handovers are completed in area and to agreed agenda
- Train peers and new operatives in equipment use and procedures when required
- Undertake basic problem diagnosis and maintenance
- Ensure team understand the planning of their daily tasks
- Communicate directly with relevant person to resolve any issues

- Previous experience is desirable but not essential, training will be given.
- Knowledge of manufacturing environment and of HACCP and safe systems of work
- Understand zonal Key Performance Indicators (production targets, waste levels and line performance)
What does the recruitment process consist of?
- Assessments – Swift Comprehensive Aptitude assessment along with a Workplace English assessment. These should take around 45–60 minutes to complete.
- Interview – 45-60 minute competency-based interview based on our company values and your experience.
