pladis was established in June 2016 and brings together the much loved, global brands of Godiva, McVitie’s, Ulker, and DeMet’s under one pladis umbrella, to form a global giant in biscuits, chocolate, and confectionary. The UK & I pladis region employs 5,000 people across 13 locations in the UK & Ireland (nine manufacturing / distribution sites and four office locations), and is an anchor market for the business.
What will this role achieve?
The UK & I business has ambitious growth plans, and this role provides senior Commercial Finance leadership for how finance partners the Commercial organisation. It is accountable for business partnering the VP Sales and Head of ROL, acting as a trusted, objective and value‑focused partner. Through planning, performance management and governance, the role ensures strong financial insight and discipline, enabling Customer teams to build effective strategies and make robust, value‑driven investment decisions.
What will be your key deliverables?

Provide overall Finance leadership for Cake & Retailer Own Label, owning end‑to‑end financial performance and value delivery across the portfolio.

Partner closely with VP Cake & Head of ROL and Commercial Finance Director to influence portfolio strategy, investment priorities and long‑term growth plans.

Partner with Supply Chain and Procurement finance to optimise cost structures to drive profitability

Set the strategic financial direction for Cake & Retailer Own Label, ensuring customer strategies, JBPs and investment decisions are aligned to business objectives and deliver sustainable, profitable growth.

Lead the portfolio‑level Strategic Plan and AOP for Cake & ROL, defining growth levers, financial guardrails and success metrics, with clear accountability for delivery.

Own Cake & Retailer Own Label performance management including monthly financial cycle.

Provide high‑quality insight and constructive challenge at portfolio and customer level, raising the quality of commercial decision‑making and investment outcomes.

Act as the escalation point for material financial risks, investment decisions and control issues within the Cake & Retailer Own Label business.
What do you need for this role?

A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with 7-10 years post qualification experience

Proven experience in FMCG in Customer/ commercial Finance

Strong financial and commercial competence built over a 10-year minimum career

A passion for business performance management & analytics
