What will this role achieve? As the Engineering Trainer, you will be fully responsible for delivering high-quality Engineering Training, supporting the recruitment and onboarding of site Engineering Apprentices and guiding their development throughout the programme.
What will be your key deliverables?
- Maintain the comprehensive Training matrix covering all Engineering capability requirements
- Design and deliver Train the trainer programmes to build internal capability
- Facilitate the bi-annual training days to deliver compliance and engineering training
- Deliver high-quality technical training on:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM’s)
- Machine size changes
- Guard removal and refitting
- General lubrication procedures
- Machine adjustments, set-up and parts replacement
- Create, amend, verify and maintain DSOP’s (Dynamic Standard Operating Procedures) for all training areas, ensuring all DSOP’s are accurate, compliant and aligned with site Engineering standards
- Conduct competency assessments and sign-off engineers/apprentices once training is completed
- Carry out assessments as part of the ATM Recruitment process
- Complete annual training gap analysis and develop targeted training plans to address capability gaps
- Support the recruitment, onboarding and management of Engineering Apprentices
- Guide and support apprentices through their learning journey, ensuring progress against the apprenticeship framework
- Use SFOL (or equivalent systems) to create KPI’s and dashboards that measure training effectiveness and completion rates
- Provide regular reporting on training, progress, competency development, and compliance levels
