What will this role achieve? The UK Customer Team at pladis employs approximately 150 people across functions including account management, category management and customer marketing and is accountable for the delivery of the commercial budgets across the UK, split into three channels: Grocery; Convenience & Impulse; and Discounters. This BAM role sits as part of the Wholesale team, within Convenience & Impulse, and will be fully responsible for the management and execution of the pladis UK Sales agenda across the Booker account.

What will be your key deliverables?

  • Full ownership and accountability of the account, managing a team of 1 report to deliver and exceed Budget.
  • Ownership of the account strategy and direction.
  • Build “winning” relationships with all Buyers and key contacts across biscuits & snacks categories through regular customer meetings.
  • Build an account plan that is aligned to the pladis sales and marketing agenda to hit Budget across the account.
  • Build, gain internal alignment & agree an efficient terms package that drives sales, share, feature & distribution gains in-store for Pladis.
  • Execute the plan using negotiation skills, creativity and energy to land initiatives.
  • Forecasting and delivery of monthly sales and profit targets.
  • Review the efficiency of all Biscuits and Snacks promotions and make recommendations on strategic direction.
  • Conduct store & depot visits, reporting on pladis, competitor and adjacent.

What do you need for this role?

Essential:
  • Proven experience in an FMCG Wholesale customer facing role – Booker experience desirable.
  • Working autonomously and as part of a team towards a common goal.
  • Problem solving and solution orientated.
  • Logical mind and eye for detail.
  • Commercial ability.
  • Strong Excel and Powerpoint knowledge.
Desirable:
  • Negotiation training & experience.
  • Branded experience (as opposed to Retailer Brand).
