The HR Advisor will act as a trusted partner to business leaders, delivering expert, commercially focused HR guidance across a broad range of people matters.
This role requires a proactive, solutions‑oriented individual who can influence decision‑making, drive consistency, and ensure the effective management of employee relations, performance, and organisational change.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the post holder will lead on complex HR casework, coach and challenge managers, and use data‑driven insights to improve organisational performance and mitigate risk.
The role demands strong employment law knowledge, sound judgement, and the ability to balance commercial priorities with people outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations & Wellbeing
- Lead complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence matters.
- Support managers with absence management, wellbeing initiatives, occupational health referrals, and reasonable adjustments.
- Provide expert, compliant HR advice and coaching to ensure consistent people management practices.
- Performance & Talent Management
- Partner with managers to address performance and capability issues, driving timely interventions and a high‑performance culture.
- Oversee probationary reviews, supporting decision‑making and identifying development needs with L&D.
- Employee Lifecycle
- Support onboarding, inductions, probation management, and exit processes to deliver a positive employee experience.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyse feedback, and elevate significant issues where appropriate.
- Monitor new starter access, equipment, and onboarding effectiveness.
- Data, Reporting & Governance
- Analyse HR data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights.
- Produce reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and supporting informed decision‑making.
- Conduct audits and maintain strong governance across HR processes and systems.
- Operational Excellence
- Ensure delivery of high‑quality HR services in line with policies and SLAs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Act as a role model, fostering professionalism, accountability, and best practice across the business.

Skills & Experience
- HR degree or relevant qualification
- HR experience within a fast‑paced, multi‑site sales or service organisation
- Knowledge of UK employment law
- Ability to deliver commercially focused HR solutions that drive engagement and performance
