We’re looking for an experienced, passionate and purpose-driven Senior Architectural Technologist to join our talented team, delivering high quality healthcare and residential projects that positively impact people’s lives and communities. You’ll be involved from early design through to delivery, shaping thoughtful, well resolved architecture in close collaboration with clients and consultant teams.
Job Requirements
- Associate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (ACIAT)
- BSc or equivalent degree in Architectural Technology, or HNC/HND qualifications
- Willingness to work towards MCIAT accreditation if not already obtained
- Current CSCS card, or willingness to immediately obtain one
- Experience in a similar technical role managing projects and project teams
- Strong technical knowledge of relevant construction, health & safety legislation, planning standards, and UK building regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, adaptable attitude, able to respond to evolving project needs
- Commitment to personal and team professional development
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead the technical delivery of multiple architectural projects simultaneously from concept to completion
- Prepare, review and coordinate drawings, specifications, schedules and technical documentation
- Ensure designs comply with building regulations, legislation, codes of practice and client requirements
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders to understand and deliver project requirements
- Provide technical advice and solutions throughout the design and construction process
- Manage planning applications, statutory approvals and building regulation submissions
- Monitor project progress, budgets and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within agreed fees
- Undertake site visits, building surveys and inspections of completed works
- Prepare and manage contract documentation and support contract administration
- Mentor and support team members, promoting technical excellence across the practice
- Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat business
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance procedures, health & safety standards and company policies
- Support project leadership activities including team coordination, reviewing deliverables and reporting on project progress
- Travel to other offices as required
