About the role

The Operating Model and Change Lead defines the model required to deliver and sustain the Research and Development Digital strategy.

This role shapes roles, responsibilities, decision rights, governance forums, change‑management requirements and value tracking across Research and Development, Digital Technology, Data and Analytics, Product Lifecycle Management, Value Chain Operations and partners.

The ideal candidate understands how to translate strategy into operating mechanisms that can be governed, funded, adopted and sustained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess current operating model challenges across Research and Development Digital delivery, decision-making and governance.
  • Define future‑state roles, responsibilities, decision rights and ways of working.
  • Shape governance forums, value tracking mechanisms and delivery cadences.
  • Identify change impacts across people, process, culture, data ownership and adoption.
  • Align the operating model with enterprise and Petcare ways of working.
  • Support mobilisation planning for priority roadmap items.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in target operating model design, transformation, change management or governance advisory.
  • Experience working across business, digital, technology, data and operational functions.
  • Strong understanding of governance, responsibility assignment design, value tracking and change adoption.
  • Ability to simplify complex organisational topics into practical, actionable models.
  • Location: London‑based preferred; Paris‑based candidates will also be considered.
