JOB PURPOSE
We’re looking for a high-impact Customer & Marketing Insights Lead to shape and deliver our EMEA insights strategy. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll turn complex, fragmented datasets across customer, sales, pricing, product, and digital into clear, actionable insight that drives growth, margin improvement, and stronger customer engagement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and deliver the EMEA customer & marketing data and insights roadmap, aligned to growth, retention, mix, margin, and activation priorities.
- Interrogate large datasets to surface performance drivers, opportunities, and root causes.
- Build and own scalable Power BI semantic models and dashboards that translate data into clear, actionable insights.
- Apply advanced analytics (e.g. regression, hypothesis testing) to quantify drivers and support decision-making.
- Integrate internal and external data sources, embedding robust validation and quality controls.
- Establish and govern consistent KPIs and measurement frameworks to create a single, trusted source of truth.
- Deliver customer insight – segmentation, profiling, and performance tracking to support targeting and growth.
- Build capability across the organisation by embedding best practices in data modelling, analytics, and storytelling.
- Ensure GDPR compliance and ethical use of customer and marketing data.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven track record leading customer, commercial, or marketing analytics in a multi-market or matrix organisation, with measurable impact.
- Advanced Power BI expertise, including data modelling, DAX, and scalable semantic models.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working across multiple data sources.
- Solid understanding of data modelling and KPI design/governance.
- Experience applying statistical techniques to solve real business problems.
- Strong commercial mindset – able to link insights to revenue, margin, and customer outcomes.
- Hands-on, pragmatic approach – comfortable working with imperfect or evolving data.
Strongly preferred:
- Python and/or R for advanced analytics, automation, and scalable insight generation.
- Experience in pricing analytics, product/catalogue optimisation, or digital marketing performance.
- Experience building reusable data assets.
Optional
- Practical AI/LLM skills to accelerate analysis.
- Familiarity with modern data practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
