Accounting Clerk

Permax Recruitment is working in partnership with a world leading cryptocurrency accounting and professional services firm on the role of Digital Accountant.

Location: Hybrid role. 2/3 days in office (Cheltenham), 2/3 days working from home.

• Using digital software to complete bookkeeping duties on a daily basis.
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate and up to date data is being provided to clients.
• Preparation of financial statements to review status.
• Completion of statutory returns, including but not limited to, VAT returns and self-assessment tax returns.
• Accurately present data to clients, where applicable, in the form of bespoke reporting.
• Report to Accounts and Client Manager on a regular basis to ensure smooth operation of compliance team.
• Use proactive mindset to ensure that high-quality services are being provided to all clients.
• Knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
• An understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages (Xero/Dext preferred).
• Relevant qualifications required - AAT level 4 qualified or equivalent QBE.
