About the role

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Ellington.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing work with a leading transport operation, competitive rates of pay, and a variety of shift patterns across a 7-day operation.

This role will suit candidates who have worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Shift Pattern:

  • Various rota patterns available
  • 11–13 hour shifts
  • Monday – Friday: £17.50 per hour (05:00 – 20:00), £19.00 per hour (20:00 – 05:00)
  • Weekends: £21.00 per hour

Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Driver will be:

  • Carrying out double-deck trunking work

  • Completing vehicle checks and transport documentation

The skills required to be an HGV Class 1 Driver are:

  • Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Reliable and flexible approach to work
  • Previous trunking or double-deck trailer experience

Training:

  • Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout
