We are currently looking to hire a Landscape Architect in our London office.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing landscape team that has been established to strengthen our environmental offering and support wider interdisciplinary services, including Ecology and Biodiversity Net Gain. The team plays a key role in progressing our commitment to sustainable, carbon neutral development, biodiversity, and nature based solutions across a diverse range of projects.

As a Landscape Architect, you will support the delivery of landscape planning, design and assessment services across transport, utilities, urban regeneration and infrastructure projects. You will work as part of multi-disciplinary project teams, contributing technical input through all stages of project delivery, while continuing to develop your professional skills and experience. You will contribute to project work under the guidance of senior colleagues, with opportunities to broaden your expertise across landscape design, landscape planning, green infrastructure, and environmental assessment.

Based in our London office on a hybrid basis, you will join a collaborative and supportive team environment, with excellent access to transport links and on-site facilities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting the preparation of landscape designs, specifications, management plans, tender documentation, drawings, and written reports in line with project briefs and quality standards
  • Assisting with landscape planning inputs including Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) and related environmental assessment work
  • Contributing to landscape led and integrated masterplanning, green infrastructure and nature based solutions across a range of project types
  • Assisting senior staff in delivering projects in accordance with agreed scope, programme and budget
  • Undertaking technical tasks in line with good landscape practice, relevant guidance, standards and Health & Safety requirements
  • Liaising with internal project teams, clients and external stakeholders as required, under the direction of senior colleagues
  • Supporting business development activities where appropriate, including information gathering and proposal inputs
  • Complying with company IMS and BMS procedures
  • Actively engaging in learning, development and professional progression opportunities

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or PG Diploma / Master’s) in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Planning, Landscape Management or related discipline

Experience

  • Credible relevant post study experience in a consultancy or similar professional environment
  • Experience contributing to landscape design and/or landscape planning projects
  • Exposure to multi-disciplinary working environments
  • A basic understanding of project delivery and consultancy workflows

Skills

  • AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Microsoft Office
  • Good visual, verbal and written communication skills
  • An interest in sustainable design, green infrastructure and nature based solutions

Desirable

  • Landscape Institute accredited degree and/or working towards Chartership
  • Experience on public realm, infrastructure or regeneration projects
  • Familiarity with LVIA, green infrastructure or Biodiversity Net Gain
  • Experience working within engineering or environmental consultancies
  • Knowledge of Revit, Civil 3D, GIS or 3D visualisation tools
