About the Role

The Assistant Spa Manager supports the Spa Manager in overseeing the daily operation of the spa, ensuring a seamless, luxurious experience for every guest. This role blends leadership, operational management, and hands-on spa expertise within a prestigious 5-star setting.

You’ll help guide a talented team, maintain impeccable standards, and contribute to the continued success of one of Bath’s most celebrated spas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of 10 spa therapists and 3 reception staff.
  • Maintain exceptional guest service standards consistent with a luxury 5-star environment.
  • Lead by example on the spa floor, including performing treatments when required.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, daily briefings, and performance support.

Operations & Administration

  • Manage and optimise the spa booking diary to maximise guest satisfaction and therapist utilisation.
  • Assist with stock taking, stock control, and ordering.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, hygiene, and operational standards.
  • Support staff training, onboarding, and ongoing development.

Systems & Processes

  • Use spa management software for bookings, guest profiles, and reporting.
  • Experience with Prem Spa/Journey software is a strong advantage.

What We're Looking For

  • 1-2 years of spa management or supervisory experience, ideally within a luxury or 5-star environment.
  • Confident leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English.
  • Strong organisational ability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends as part of a 5-day rota.
  • A recognised spa or beauty therapy qualification is desirable.
