Parkside Flexibles is looking for a creative, hands‑on, and proactive Packaging Development Technologist to support the Innovation Manager in developing innovative flexible packaging solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing ideas to life. Working closely with the Innovation Manager and wider business, you’ll help create concepts, produce samples, and support development projects that deliver new packaging solutions for our customers.
We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys thinking differently, and can combine creativity with practical problem‑solving.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Innovation Manager in delivering product development and innovation projects.
- Create packaging concepts, mock‑ups, samples, and prototypes.
- Assist with customer presentations, concept packs, and development proposals.
- Support the Sales team with samples, presentations, and customer innovation activities.
- Work closely with Technical and Operations teams to support the successful development and implementation of new packaging solutions.
- Create and distribute customer samples, ensuring all samples, concepts and development activities are accurately recorded and tracked.
- Help maintain the NPD laboratory, sample library, and development records.
- Contribute ideas and support innovation activities across the business.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience within packaging, product development, manufacturing, design, or a similar environment would be advantageous, although candidates with strong practical and creative skills who are keen to develop will also be considered.
- A creative mindset with the ability to generate and communicate new ideas.
- Strong presentation, visualisation, and communication skills.
- A practical, hands‑on approach to creating samples and prototypes.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence using digital tools to support concept development and presentations.
- Ability to work collaboratively across Technical, Sales, Operations and Marketing teams.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
