We're looking for a dedicated Hoarding Home Coach to join our team, providing long-term support to individuals across Derbyshire who are experiencing hoarding behaviours.
This is a highly rewarding role where you'll work alongside people in a person-centred, trauma-informed and non-judgemental way, empowering them to make positive and sustainable changes. This role is about so much more than decluttering someone's home. It is about taking the time to build trust, develop meaningful relationships, and understand the underlying causes of a person's hoarding behaviours.
As a Hoarding Home Coach, you'll support individuals to explore the root causes of their hoarding, recognising the impact that mental health, trauma, loss, bereavement, anxiety, depression and other life experiences can have on their wellbeing. You'll help people to develop the confidence, resilience and practical skills needed to achieve lasting change at a pace that is right for them.
This is a long-term support service, recognising that meaningful and sustainable change does not happen overnight. You'll work with individuals over an extended period, celebrating small achievements and supporting them through setbacks with patience, empathy and encouragement.
Working across Derbyshire, you'll visit people in their own homes, carrying out comprehensive assessments, identifying strengths, needs and risks, and developing personalised support plans that reflect each individual's goals and aspirations.
The successful candidate must hold a full UK driving licence. Please note, this post is subject to an enhanced check made by the Disclosure & Barring Services, paid for by P3.
