The Opportunity
We are looking for a Signals Senior Partner to lead Signals, one of three core data products at the heart of our operating system, and turn it into a proposition that clients understand, value and pay for. Signals connects, assures and activates the zero, first and third-party data that powers how we plan, buy and optimise. Covering platform signals, business and customer data, campaign feeds and market data, Signals answers the questions every client eventually asks: what do we know, can we trust it, and which signals should drive our decisions?
Your Role & Responsibilities
- Reliable Data Foundations: Ensure clients and colleagues trust Signals data by making sure tracking is accurate, complete, compliant and monitored, fixing issues before they affect campaign performance.
- Profit-Driven Optimisation: Bridge the gap between client sales, margins, CRM and zero-party data and advertising platforms, ensuring campaigns optimise toward net revenue and customer value rather than simple clicks.
- Informed Decision-Making: Guide account and media leaders on which signals should drive planning and buying, challenging decisions built on untrusted data.
- Strategy Data Enablement: Supply our strategy team with complete, validated data refreshed quarterly, giving them trusted foundations to run analysis and shape recommendations.
- Proactive Privacy Leadership: Deliver changes across privacy, consent and platforms as strategic advice and working products rather than broken tracking, ensuring full adherence to UK GDPR and PECR.
- Repeatable Service Delivery: Turn bespoke work into a documented, governed and automated service using a standard four-part audit, consistent onboarding and proactive monitoring.
- Technical & Cross-Team Collaboration: Brief data engineering and AI specialists with precision to maintain our central database of client performance signals, partnering seamlessly across Insights, Measurement and Strategy.
- Commercial Growth: Drive revenue and margin for Signals as part of our integrated data offer, demonstrating clear commercial return to client finance directors.
- Team Development: Lead and develop specialists across tracking, customer data and analytics, embedding high standards of accountability and continuous learning.
What Success Looks Like in 6 Months
- Client & Partner Trust: You have established trusted relationships with client leadership teams and key advertising platform partners, acting as the senior voice on data foundations in meetings and pitches.
- Operational Standards: A standard Signals audit covering all four key areas is fully active, with unified naming conventions and a documented onboarding playbook applied to new clients.
- Active Monitoring: You have agreed monitoring standards with data engineering, and proactive signal monitoring is live across priority accounts.
- Advanced Conversion Flow: Offline conversion and customer lifetime value signals are actively feeding advertising platforms for priority clients, with match rates measured and tracked.
- Structured Strategy Refreshes: The quarterly strategy data refresh runs to an agreed specification and schedule, with clean handovers to the strategy team.
- Commercial Packaging: The Signals proposition is clearly packaged, priced and actively sold within our integrated data offering.
- Co-Intelligent Workflows: Your team operates using Co-Intelligence, with your people owning judgement and quality whilst automation and AI handle repeatable delivery.
What You’ll Bring
- Technical Authority in Data Collection: Deep hands-on expertise in designing, auditing and troubleshooting tag management, analytics, server-side setups and conversion APIs (including GA4 and Google Tag Manager).
- Business-to-Ad Value Translation: A proven ability to connect sales, margin, CRM and lifetime value data to ad platforms, articulating the commercial impact clearly to finance directors.
- Data Governance Judgement: Strong practical command of UK GDPR, PECR and consent frameworks, with the confidence to hold the line on compliance and user privacy.
- Commercial Ownership: Direct experience owning a data product, service or proposition, including its packaging, pricing and revenue delivery.
- Senior Stakeholder Clarity: The ability to translate complex data engineering and tracking setups into clear, compelling narratives for senior marketing, technology and finance leaders.
- Systems & Scalability Focus: Comfortable working in cloud data environments like BigQuery, with a focus on building playbooks, repeatable workflows and automated pipelines.
- People Leadership: Proven experience developing and mentoring technical data specialists, taking as much pride in building a team as building a product.
- Collaborative Mindset: High curiosity around how AI and automation can accelerate technical workflows without compromising human oversight and accountability.
