Online Oceans is recruiting a Software Engineer (Robotics) in Southampton, United Kingdom.

The role covers own large parts of SentryOS, the Linux software on every Scout: services, watchdogs, logging and self-recovery so a vehicle can clear its own faults hundreds of miles from shore.
Integrate flight control over MAVLink, keep Starlink and Iridium links reliable, build simulation and hardware-in-the-loop tests, and ship updates safely to boats at sea.
Requirements
- 5+ years building software for robots, drones or embedded systems
- deep practical Linux (systemd, networking, serial, embedded boards)
- strong Python
- software you have shipped on hardware in the field
Preferred Skills
- Flight control and MAVLink strongly preferred
- C/C++ and low-bandwidth comms are a plus
