Online Oceans is recruiting an Integration Engineer in Southampton, United Kingdom.
Contract: full time. Language: English. Work experience: 5+ years.
The role covers take customer instruments (hydrophones, cameras, CTDs, USBL systems, acoustic modems) and make them work on Scout: scope the integration, design mounts and housings in CAD, wire into the 24 V sensor bay, write Python drivers so data reaches the Tether platform, then prove it at sea and document it for the field team.
Requirements
- 5+ years integrating sensors or instruments onto vehicles or platforms.
- Mechanical skills (CAD, 3D printing, sealing, connectors).
- Python on Linux.
- Wiring and serial protocols.
- Ability to explain technical work to customers.
- Ocean instruments, uncrewed vehicles and sea-trial time are a plus.
