We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our client’s team at their state-of-the-art facility based in Tewkesbury on a contract basis. Our client designs and manufactures complex mechanical products for global application in the aerospace and defence sectors. The focus on this position will be to manage day-to-day operational quality challenges that arise during production and manufacturing.
Duties:
- Defect investigations / root cause analysis / 8D Investigations
- Corrective action / improvement introduction
- Responsibility for day-to-day Quality Assurance activities
- Quality systems maintenance and improvement, where required
- Support the planning and delivery of quality activities
- Investigate non-conformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities across manufacturing
- Help ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements (e.g. AS9100, ISO 9001)
Background:
- Strong problem-solving tools (e.g. 8D, RCCA)
- Experience of working in an AS9100 environment
- Knowledge and practical experience with PFMEA
- Experience in supporting Production and Manufacturing
