Overview:
Our international client, is looking for someone to be based in there Blackfriars office and are looking for an experienced Document Controller to join their busy, growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone highly organised with an ability to persuade, influence and advise to engage in various projects and procedures. They are looking for an individual who can communicate efficiently and is detail conscious. You will have to be flexible and prepared to adapt to evolving job demands.
Sounds interesting? Your Key Responsibilities will include:
- Uploading drawings on to Electronic Document Management Systems
- Controlling the archive and storage of drawings
- Ensuring control and timely release of new drawings or changes
- Managing the documentation of supplier drawing comments
- Maintaining all drawing records
- Providing assistance to the internal and external technical teams to ensure adherence to procedures
- Establishing procedures for information flow within projects and across the practice
- Liaising with external teams in order to collaborate with document control procedures
- Training new and existing team members on document control procedures and systems
- Reporting statistical information to project leaders on information flow for the project
- Writing procedures or guides
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- An advanced understanding of Electronic Document Management Systems (Conject is essential)
- Prior experience within a similar role working on medium to large scale projects
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Methodical approach
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Excellent organisation, communication (both written and verbal) and analytical skills
You must have experience working on the following programs:
- Aconex
- Business Collaborator
- Documentum
- Meridian
