Expanding successful Software Consultancy are looking for Developers with Delphi/C# or VB skills. You will be involved in an exciting phase of their growth.

To be considered:

  • Solid coding skills, including:
    • C#, VB or Delphi.
    • Transact SQL. Writing SQL statements and creating database objects.
    • Demonstrate strong windows based programming.
    • Understanding of distributed application architectures.
    • Demonstrate a passion for technology.
  • Strong analytical skills. Candidate must be able to demonstrate strong logical mindset and aptitude to problem solving.
  • Ability to gather and understand requirements.
  • Good communication. Ability to communicate within and across teams to gather requirements and/or knowledge. Ability to communicate directly with clients as required to understand issues or requirements.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic working environment. Responding and reacting to a variety of requirements at short or no notice.
  • Desire to take responsibility and ownership of their work, and share knowledge with colleagues as appropriate.
  • Outgoing, positive attitude, happy to jump in and assist. Someone that wants to make a difference.

What you will be doing on a day to day basis:

  • Developing functionality in the application (Windows based application).
  • Analysing requirements and turning them into technical solutions.
  • Front end changes via Delphi.
  • Creating and amending database objects and/or via MS SQL Server.
  • Developing functionality in the associated toolset C# and MS SQL Server.
  • Investigating and implementing fixes to the application based on client issues (Delphi / C# / SQL Server).
  • Unit testing and documentation of technical solutions conforming to the SSL SDLC.
  • Building/deploying software releases to various environments.
  • Estimating of development changes.
  • Depending on experience, conducting code reviews with peers.
  • Liaison with other departments as appropriate (e.g. QC Testing, Support queries, Implementation requirements).

Salary range – base, benefits, holidays, when are pay reviews? Any bonus or shares:

  • £tbc depending on experience.
  • 25 Days Holiday.
  • 4x Death in service.
  • Annual pay review.
  • PMI.
  • Season Ticket Loan.
  • Auto-Enrolment into the Company pension scheme – Individual 4% - Company 4% currently.
  • By agreement, achievement of MCP certifications are typically rewarded with a bonus (Circa £300).
