JOB PURPOSE: Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in IB Diploma Programme (DP) Chemistry for Grades 11 and 12, ensuring outstanding academic outcomes while fostering inquiry, scientific thinking, research skills, and conceptual understanding aligned with the IB philosophy. Plan, deliver, assess, and continuously enhance learning experiences that develop students' analytical, experimental, and problem-solving skills while maintaining compliance with IB Standards and Practices. Contribute to the wider academic life of the school through pastoral care, curriculum development, collaborative planning, professional learning, laboratory safety, and active participation in co-curricular programmes and whole-school initiatives.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS - Qualification, Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
- Master's Degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. qualification (mandatory).
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience with IB Diploma Programme Chemistry.
- Experience teaching Chemistry HL and SL.
- Strong understanding of IB Standards & Practices and DP assessment requirements.
- Excellent subject knowledge with experience in planning and conducting practical laboratory sessions.
- Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into teaching and learning.
- Thorough understanding of laboratory safety procedures and risk management.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
Desirable:
- IB Category 2 or Category 3 Chemistry Workshop certification.
- Experience supporting Extended Essay (EE), Theory of Knowledge (TOK), or CAS.
- Experience in an international school.
- Experience preparing students for admission to leading global universities.
